Cornerstones are made with a pocket to receive a copper document box and a 2″ lid. Datestones are cast with flat backs and do not include a pocket for a copper box.

Pocket sizes vary to match the copper box size. Copper boxes not supplied by the cast stone manufacturer. Wall thickness of Cornerstones should be 2 1/2″ of greater.

Heights of Cornerstones and Datestones are figured to match brick coursing minus 1 joint.

Various type cuts are detailed – these may be used for both letters and numerals. Date stones are made of 3 3/4″ thick (1 brick width). This dimension may be changed if required. Seven different type mortar joints are also shown on this page.
